What's Missing from this Picture?
90 hideous new expensive flats, of course.
Even on a gloomy December morning, standing under the dripping trees, North Kelvin Meadow is a good place to be, a restful, improvised space, full of signs of collective, voluntary, local endeavour that are largely missing from the landscaped contours of the Botanic Gardens nearby.
Someone from the council was reported as saying 'this site is absolutely not a meadow, it's three derelict red blaze football pitches.' Is that what it looks like?
