Flower Festival Funchal

After breakfast we went into Funchal to see the children's parade - it was lovely and they were all ages carrying flowers with which they built a wall of hope.  There were doves released and it was lovely to see.  Afterwards the children gave performances and they were very good.  It was very busy and crowded.  After we ate our packed lunch and looked in to the flower tent. - my extras include two of the exhibits Bird of Paradise and Orchids.  My main is the flower display in the hotel lobby and it is stunning (best in large) They started the display on Thursday and it is one of many but lovely to see.  After stopping for coffees we walked back to the hotel - so today I have done well over 11,000 steps.
It was warm and overcast today which was ideal for walking and standing
