Our Sollya heterophylla's first flowers
This Sollya heterophylla is one of my favourite plants. I first bought one about ten years ago when I saw it in full flower in a small nursery in Wiltshire. thjat survived for six ior seven years and then succumbed to frost, when I left it out too ,long in the autumn. I found another one two years ago in a local nursery which has been nearly as successful un til this winter. It stayed in our cabin in the garden all winter and is now beginning to flower again so I brought it outside onto the patio. The late afternoon light suited a rushed macro picture as I pointed up towards the sky to try to show the interior of the flower, which is only about half an inch long.
