Survivor

Just a short while ago our magnolia tree was a picture. Festooned with blossom and a sure sign that late Spring would herald a sparkling summer. Or so we thought!
Then, our worst fears . . . A late frost, high winds and torrential rain, all rolled into one it seemed. Well, not only did it put paid to our immediate predictions, it also saw our magnolia tree decimated of all blooms.
But, just a glimpse that all is not completely lost. The tree is blooming again. Not nearly as prolific as it was just a week or two ago. But blooms once more.
Fingers crossed that forecasts of the possibility of light frosts overnight do not materialise! The forecast on my phone is slightly more re-assuring with predictions that temperatures will not actually fall that far.
Fingers crossed!
