A Different Christmas Thought

Despite the rancid conditions outside went for a walk into town. Had a wander round the wee Christmas market outside the cathedral. Turned round to find this solitary knitted Christmas wreath on the fence of St Mary's.

It made me think... who placed it there? Was it just to brighten up the outside of the church or was there a more poignant reason for it?

We had a wander inside the cathedral and sat for a bit. Made me think about the other side of Christmas. A sad thought but more fulfilling than rushing about the department stores and budget clothes shops not far from here.
