I woke up early and drove from the hotel over to Beeston Marina for this morning's parkrun which runs alongside the canal and the River Trent.

Being the 4th May, there were lots of Star Wars themed characters running as well as a few oddities including a couple of runners dressed as whoopee cushions! ( Jedi in extra)

This afternoon we met up with Harriet and George for a walk around the Lakeside which is on the University site.

The coots were busy with their newly hatched chicks.
