In bleak mid summer

I went out yesterday afternoon to see if any of the poppies were out. A beautiful day when l started out however after a short while the sky darkened and l had to pull over and take shelter as my windscreen wipers could not cope ...... with the hail that was raining down. When ĺ did eventually set off again it was in a different landscape- see extras.
