From Gordon Avenue

Well we survived having 300 people tramp through the house and it looks none the worse for wear. 
The front verandah didn't give way as I had bad dream of the other night. (The boards are getting a bit worn.)
It was really very interesting and the visitors were most gracious and appreciative. 

The best thing that happened was the granddaughter of one of the original owners came. She used to visit as a child and was a bit worried it might be upsetting but was very pleased to see things hadn't changed all that much. Her father died when she was 3 and she is very keen to meet a couple of our friends who played with him as children so we will arrange a meeting.

During the day we ducked out to see the two other houses on display in Blackheath.
This is the view from near one of them. Only chance for a blip as it wasn't allowed at the inspections so I thought I'd better not rock the boat by taking one of the crowds at our place, much as I'd have liked to!
