Ash Lane

This is the path on the way up to the woods. The first really big problem with the new compact cropped up today: an extremely short battery life. I ran out of power about 20 minutes into a 4 hour walk with a friend. Whats worse was there were so many good shots in great light that I missed. It turns out that the sunrise in winter with mist wreathing the forest and clawing up the side of the hills and rock faces makes for some stunning views early in the morning, especially with dew dripping form everything. I may also go blind as I was standing in a cloud and looked at the moon, which I realised was actually the sun after a few seconds.
