Up with the lark
Shopping first thing and then a leisurely stroll over the ridge where I spotted this skylark. I did try edging closer but it wasn't having any of it.
Thank you all so much for all the support, it does mean a great deal. Feeling so much brighter today, although I am still quaking inside.
On a lighter note, well depends on how you look at it, there was a lovely letter in yesterday's Times from Esther Rantzen regarding funerals. Ok, ok, I have a weird sense of the ridiculous and I can assure you I'm not going anywhere yet, but I have obviously thought "what if".
I'm not religious, inspite of being brought up as a Roman Catholic and having a convent education I have often wondered what on earth I would have to "send me off". (Mum had Terry Wogan's Floral Dance as she was Cornish).
Back to Esther Rantzen. She had thought of "Come on Baby Light My Fire" but changed her mind when she heard a recent edition of Desert Island Discs and I think it would suit me just fine. Gracie Fields, singing "Wish Me Luck As You Wave Me Goodbye".
Of course there could always be "Ding Dong the Witch is Dead" - or so I've been told.
