The Last Climb

Have enjoyed watching the Tour de Yorkshire on television for the past four days but was really excited to go see the climax of the race in person this afternoon.
After going to the gym we had some scrambled eggs then drove the couple of miles to the edge of Otley, parked up and walked another mile to The Chevin a steep straight climb out of the town, sited next to the forest there.
There was the usual fantastic support as thousands of fans lined this particular part of the course.
The anticipation is brilliant when the motorcade storms through then the riders who come through in a flash.
You really need to have your finger in snap happy mode and hope for the best.
Then as soon as it arrives it has gone leaving the good hearted crowd to make their way back down the hill and home to see the finish on TV.
We really love our cycling in Yorkshire.

I did a bit of double exposure faffing with my main blip to try and summon up the atmosphere but there is a collage in extras if you have time to look at it.
