Autumn.....

.....at Mona Vale in Christchurch.

I had a wonderful day in the city with blipper JMK. It was a day of ambling through gardens, feeling the warmth of the sun and enjoying each other's company. We visited Ilam Gardens, Mona Vale and Woodham Park where we hoped to find some Monarch butterflies but by then the sun had gone and only one was spotted.

Above is Mona Vale with the Avon River flowing by, glorious shades of autumn throughout. The building in the foreground is the bathhouse while the chimney stacks from the original homestead can be seen in the background. The homestead is now a cafe and was quite busy as we wandered by.

On this day my eyes were good, so good I didn't need to wear a cap. It's early days but I feel there is a change, thankfully :)
