Bee on the comfrey

The comfrey flowers are just opening, which the bees were first to discover. This one was so happily feeding that it stayed still long enough for me to get a photo, which is quite unusual.

I spent rather too long at the soil-face, without making any obvious difference. Was so busy putting protection over cabbage seedlings and support for the emerging peas plus digging out some monster weeds and grass in one bed, that I failed to get the strimmer out at all (see extra, which embarrasses me). Knackered.

D late back from Blackness again - no fatalities this time, fortunately, just due to a twat who'd wandered off leaving his over-sized vehicle blocking the castle gates and preventing them from being shut.
