Mono Monday - Rooftop in Need of Repair

This lovely little cottage (actually, not so little) catches our eye each time we walk from the village to the farm shop - a nice seven and a half mile stroll with the promise of a cuppa at the half way mark.

We spoke with the owners recently and remarked on the deteriorating roof. We were informed it's about to be refurbished, but while the 'good' old stone tiles will be re-used at the front, the back of the house may have to adapt to a more modern topping.

We're being ever so quiet in the house today. All the weekend while we've been away Charlie's been preparing her presentation for Wednesday's Oxford University gig, and today it's the run-through in front of the mirror.
