Wells cathedral

We had a look round the inside of Wells cathedral today. It’s a beautiful church and dates back the 11th century. This clock is the second oldest in the world. The outer circle has a sun for each of the 24 hours and the middle one has a star to track the minutes. It also shows the lunar months. At 12 pm a figure strikes the hour (out of shot) and above the clock the figures of jousting knights fight each other.
Before we went into the cathedral, it was warm enough in the sun to have a cup of coffee at an outside table
