thank you

for all the loveliness yesterday, I really appreciated it.

We're heading full tilt to our annual Oddfest, which is our version of Christmas. All these things have been made by us and friends - it's a very handmade Christmas this year and that's something that I really love. I far prefer to be given a small handmade present than a big/expensive thing that's just been bought. Many of my friends seem to be in the mood to make things too and many of them are making things that are truly beautiful and much valued :-)

Yesterday ended very late (well, it ended today really) with an interesting conversation with an old friend. Our view on life is, in many ways, similar but somehow very far apart. I was surprised how anthro-centric someone with a "belief" can be - it was all about humans and individuals whereas I think in terms of society and (eco)systems. It was interesting to see how our views have grown apart over the years but lovely to see that the essence remains the same - we live each day to the best of our abilities - strive to grow, adapt to change, to be kind and to serve others so that they can also have as good a life as possible.
