Rottnest Island

This is a quokka. Isn’t it just the cutest? It is a small wallaby, very famous for being friendly and cute. I know it isn’t a macro but it is tiny and I know Ninniex just loves lots of entries in Tiny Tuesday....

Today we caught a ferry to Rottnest just off the coast of Fremantle. First we did a tour by train and inspected a 9.5” gun and tunnels which were part of the Defence of Fremantle in the war. I don’t care much for guns but the experience was very interesting. Next we went on a tour of the island by coach. Extras show various scenes in Perth and on the island. My impression of Perth is a small city, clean and crisp with little traffic....very nice.
