Chambéry

On Thursday night we went to Chambéry and spent the night at Nick's house so that Spencer could go to Geneva in the morning to take the GRE. He was gone all day long, so I just spent the day with Nick in Chambéry strolling around our old stomping grounds. When we studied abroad in Chambé the city seemed so small, no bigger than Burlington, VT where I went to college. However, the Savoyards say "la vie bouge à Chambéry," (life moves in Chambéry) because the rest of the department is filled with little places like Moûtiers that just don't see much action. It was a nice day and Spencer came home exhausted. These are apartment buildings in the historic downtown section of Chambéry that have little shops and cafés on the rez-de-chaussée.
