Proud

Steve's been working very hard on a project that he feels very strongly about for a few months now. He felt as if his work talents were needed in the church in order to set up a new ministry for people in need in their homes, perhaps decorating, fitting a vital piece of house hold goods etc. He got the go ahead in November, he started today.

In short, he speaks to differed groups at church and they find someone that is in need. The first person was a single parent; their spouse died suddenly this year. Their child has severe learning difficulties and draws over EVERYTHING in the house as a release. The before pictures were quite upsetting.

Steve organized a group of volunteers that were willing to give up their Saturday in order to make a difference. And a big difference they made.

In one day; several rooms had been put right and looked far better than how they started.

A very proud moment for me. My husband is selfless, in that he wants to admirably help people enjoy their homes; or have a glimmer of hope in a dark moment.

This parent was thrilled with the results and was excited to put up Christmas decorations to finish if off.

We celebrated with a Starbucks and talked about the process and plans for future. Great start to it all.
