Exit

The Sony World Photography Awards Exhibition is off my wishlist for next year - what a disappointment that was today. Full of pictures that didn't stand up without text. Which is sort of OK, but then they are illustrations to an article, rather than images in frames. 

I think.

In counterpoint, I was very glad to see the Don McCullin exhibition for a second time and to have an opportunity to revisit the pictures that moved me most and to look more closely at the ones I was too tired for first time round. The irony being that mostly his pictures were taken to accompany writing but they are perfectly strong enough to stand on their own.
