Invasion

After buying birthday cards for five different people, I thought I would look to see what the sea looked like today. As I approached the sea front, I could see this smoke billowing from the beach. I had a chat with another lady and we wondered what was going on. One of the council workman came up the steps and explained they had found a large nest of caterpillars. We had the same problem about this time last year although I think nature was left to run it’s course then. This year, they have decided to burn the nest of the brown tailed moth caterpillar before they hatch and cause mayhem again.
