'We Wax All the Things'

Ok then...Elizabeth City, North Carolina rolls up it's sidewalks, so to speak, at 5:00pm. We got there, checked into our little motel at a bit past 4 so...when I asked, as I'm like to do, "what's to do here?" it was suggested that we go down to the 'docks' and their Historic Downtown Area. All the shops were closed of course and only the eateries were open. I did find a Historic Marker commemorating an event which took place in 1677 please!
Got a shot of some young 'sailors' and a rather interesting widow display suggesting that they can 'Wax ALL the Things'! I'll leave that open ended! ;)
