Grocery Delivery
As I was walking into the Food Co-op at noon today, I saw a huge truck arriving to make a delivery. It was about half as long as the building.
As you can see in the photo, Forest Street is one-way, with parking on both sides, a bicycle lane, and two lanes for cars. The truck was in the lane furthest from the store, and traffic was fairly heavy. I thought it was going to be quite a challenge to park on the right side.
When I came out of the store after enjoying a latte, I complimented the driver (not the guy smoking) on his parking skill. He told me it was one of the more difficult spots he'd parked in.
The smoker might have been useful to direct traffic. He may also have been a relief driver for a long trip -- I think there were sleeping berths in the rear of the tractor cab
P.S. There's a strange reflection in a puddle to the left of the pallet -- the upside-down "word" looks three-dimensional.
