Forlorn Hope

Each year on the first Saturday in May I arrive at Twickenham Stadium with a good deal of hope but low expectations that the Royal Navy will win the annual Army v Navy rugby match.
It is the largest amateur sporting even in Britain but because of the antics of a few it could soon become a thing of the past.

Anyway Sam, Josh and I joined other family for a full English before meeting the others on the train.
Albany car park for a few ‘liveners’ Before making our way to a cold and windy stadium. The Navy put up a good fight but in the end they were overwhelmed by an Army side that could bring on Premier League players from the substitutes bench.
The usual chaos where 82,000 try leave Twickenham by rail from a station little bigger than Truro!!
‘Cheeky Nando’s’ in Woking before collapsing into bed shattered.
