Splashing about in my splash shoes

I tried out my "rescued" splash shoes.......in today's lunchtime splash class. 

The backstory
Basically the elastic holding them on my feet, had gone, leaving me with the feeling......... that sooner, rather than later,  one of them would become airborne.

The  trajectory of this airborne shoe,  would be frontwards, potentially  giving Alison, my instructor, a concussion.

Clearly this would not be good !

Of course, I know based on physics, this wouldn't actually happen.

If the shoe, comes off my foot, it will sink, like a ton of bricks.

But, the fear of knocking Alison unconscious is severely cramping my style.

Hence the need for either new shoes or new elastic.

New elastic was the cheaper option.

Mom happily obliged over the weekend.

I can report.............I enjoyed splashing in my "renovated" shoes. Job well done !  Thanks Mom.
