Thirsty work

It's been a scorcher today - the official temperature had us at 24 degrees but it was warmer than that on my deck where I saw my thermometer had crept up over 28 degrees.

Silly me then for deciding that today would be the day I'd do some physical work tidying up the garden and deck.

Even poor Bene was struggling to find anywhere cool though hecertainly appreciated the full watering can for some refreshment!

I'd pretty much decided that I would head to the North Island tomorrow but I see on the news tonight that the weather up there is utterly awful! Is it silly to leave beautiful, hot sunshine and trade it for fog, wind and rain? I think maybe it is. A rethink may be in order . . . . .
