Up at sparrowfart to take D plus luggage and supplies down to the harbour at Granton - should have taken a photo of him aboard the Conserver with its trusty crew, but was still on autopilot. Later went through to Stockbridge to offload some stuff at various charity shops and visit Mellis the cheesemonger. Bought some cheese (obvs) but was delighted to find that Stewart Bremner had been on the button when he suggested that the Pie Dolly's products might be found at Mellis - there was a whole section of the window display devoted to them. A little pricier than buying directly from the Dolly at the market, but since it's Crumblies Discount on Thursday it didn't make much difference to me. Reader, I bought one. :-)

On the Shore I saw three swans milling about close to the Sandport Bridge (where the brooding female had been found dead last week) - can't tell what's going on. There were also a couple of cormorants busy fishing, one in full adult plumage and one this youngster.
