Bo’ness

An old friend and I visited the Scottish Railway Museum this afternoon. We were the only visitors and spent a fascinating time revisiting the social history that this museum so skilfully depicts.

The loco in this photo, The Gordon Highlander, I last saw in steam at Aberdeen station with my grandfather when I was 6 years old.

The painter’s scaffolding finally came down today.
