Time Out

Took time out to call by our nearby McDonalds today . . . Not because I yearned for a burger or fries, but to relish in the view looking across the water meadows for what in effect is the tidal estuary of the River Test.
I have seen it during high tides when much of this grassland can be under water.
But at any state of the tide, the local McDonalds affords a magnificent uninterrupted vista across the estuary at the point where the river merges into the sea of Southampton Water.
What more relaxing way to enjoy coffee followed by ice cream! Tasty. . . .!
