Serial Thrilla

another 7am crew call.
(another tomorrow.)
BUT- today the audio finished up around 1:30.
the rest of the crew had to switch locations-
Nelsonville, to be exact.
the scene to be shot there only had one line in it,
and its raining.
the rain is a bit of a double edged sword.
its needed for the scene (well the clouds at least),
but the equipment cant get wet,
so were just going to ADR that single line at a later date.
its nice to finish early.
im probably going to nap now.

the pic is one of the scenes that we did shoot today.
in case i never explained-
The Subleaser (the film) is a dark comedy,
about two roomates that suddenly need to find a subleaser,
due to the death of their third roommate,
and end up getting an aged serial killer as a roommate.
this scene in particular is when one of the roommates gets murdered
by the subleaser- and the weapon is his 'lucky' can opener.

the pic is a bit blurry but i liked the motion,
showing the can opener swinging.
that is my boom taking up a giant part of the frame,
and if you look closely,
the second boom can be spotted at the top-ish of the frame
(kinda behind my cord).
stephanie was hiding in the back corner,
behind the lighting setup, to mic.
i DID have some non blurry ones.
i just liked how this one came out.

the video camera is behind the bed,
just to the right of the frame.
the lighting may look a bit wierd in this pic,
but it looks like night-time on tape.
