2019 Wednesday — Northbound
This photo is looking toward the Port of San Luis and Avila Beach on California’s Central Coast. We are driving north on California’s Highway 101. This is a few miles south of San Luis Obispo.
We left our SoCal house just at the crack of dawn. My Writing Lab duties at the college would be taken care of today by two of my colleagues who had me cover for them several weeks ago. I am absolutely exhausted, so I’m cancelling my two Thursday classes to take tomorrow off and hoping to relax the next several days (while grading about 30 more student essays).
We arrived in Cayucos at about noon. It’s been almost four weeks since we were last here. So I’m going to “take off my thirsty boots and stay awhile.” This is where I want to be for Mother’s Day weekend.
Good night from Cayucos
on California’s Central Coast,
