Green Umbrella
Hi, this is my first blip and whilst taken a few days ago I've posted it as I wanted to get started and I'm stuck indoors today awaiting the proverbial delivery guy.
As my username suggests, one of my prime joys is photographing Architecture in all it's forms. Either close up as abstracts or, as here, from a distance.
We were down in London to see the Don McCullin Exhibition, a very rewarding if harrowing experience and, after the exhibition, decided to get a few pictures along the South Bank from Westminster to Blackfriars, one of the objects of the exercise was to get a picture of No.1 Blackfriars, the beautiful building in this picture.
As the weather would have it the heavens opened and it poured. But, not to be outdone I took my pictures (at the risk of drowning my camera) and, by an act of serendipity the wet weather actually enhanced things.
Green Umbrella came by as dusk was approaching and the light made his Brolly seem almost luminous so I grabbed this shot.
I may not get the opportunity to post every day as, according to the rules, the blip must be taken on the same day and where I live photo ops. are hard found but I will do my best to post as often as I can.
