The Scales of Justice: Balanced, for Once
Today, finally, the whole episode ended: the one that started when Sue's car was hit by someone who ran a red light and smashed into her, wrecking her left arm and necessitating surgery, metal plates, screws, pins, and suffering. For a long time we couldn't speak of this event, because the person who hit Sue's car claimed that it was Sue who ran the red light. But it wasn't, and there was surveillance video to prove it. And now it's all over. Sue is holding the lawyer's records, her health records, etc.--in front of the lawyer's office, where someone has installed a bright red scale of justice. Now it's over, we can talk about it, and to some extent, justice has been served. Sue's arm will never be the same again. She no longer drives. But as you see, she can hold files and a jacket with her arm. We are grateful.
