Chilling

Minkelina has learned that the coolest spot in the apartment is in a doorway, where she can catch the breeze.  She needed that today, as we hit a record 86 degrees.  I spent the day in shorts and a tank top, but she's stuck with that fur coat.  Fortunately, we're expecting a real change in the weather starting tomorrow night, when we cool back into the 70's and even the normal 60's.

My post-birthday letdown was broken by the delivery of a wonderful gift of cheesecakes sent by a Blip friend!  It was totally unexpected and made my day.  I'll be taking them to our birthday/Mothers Day family gathering on Sunday, to share them and make sure I don't eat all of it myself!  It feels so good to have a generous friend.
