New Orleans, Day 3 of 7: Maître D'

Maître D' is the cat of Chartres Street; our host feeds him every morning, but he lives outside and keeps an eye on things. There's Eric next to the Mardi Gras bead festooned light-post, with the lovely Cake Cafe across the street, as we head out for the day. We rode the St. Charles Streetcar to lunch and a walk around the Garden District. The Extra is one of the mansions there, and a lizard. In the evening, we headed to the outskirts of town to Rock and Bowl to hear - and dance to - the great Geno Delafose and his zydeco band. I could do that every night of the week.
