A Nando Chicken makes a break for it!

You never know the things you might see in the Meadows. With the Gung-Ho Inflateables 5K run taking place, there was plenty of activity, but I managed to blip this Nando chicken who had made his escape and was enjoying all the fun of the afternoon. On the periphery of the area of inflatables,there was a cricket match taking place, the teams in their whites standing out as a calm oasis amongst all the colourful crowds.

It was a day more like spring than we had for a while. The cherry trees have shed their blooms now but the other mature trees are arrayed in every shade of green, the baby rabbits are out in force and there are people sitting on the grass in the sun. I hope it lasts.

My Polish Handyman arrived and put my cupboard door back on. Having to empty the cupboard for him was a timely opportunity to throw out many saved glass jam jars which are never realistically going to contain any home made jam since I don’t eat much of it. And then there were the small thermos flasks. How many thermos flasks does one person need? Correct, 1! The rest have to go.
