Meeting mum-to-be
Luke arrived home last night - he has decided to spend a few days relaxing at home before his final two exams at the end of the month.
This morning we went to meet a breeder whose Hungarian Vizsla dog is pregnant with puppies. The breeder was really lovely, we felt an instant connection with her and she told us so much about her dog and the breed in general. Her dog is absolutely beautiful and has been mated with a top pedigree male who is a champion winner. They both come from a Hungarian line of calmer dogs, as this breed is very energetic and can be quite bonkers. Apparently the ones from American lines are too lively! The pups are due around the end of May, beginning of June, and they will be ready to go to their new homes at the beginning of August. We have paid a deposit and are now starting to feel excited!
On the way home we stopped for coffees at one of the road services and ended up getting salads from Tossed for lunch - they make the best salads!
Luke allowed me to take a photo of him, as I have not had time for photos today. I am about to cook a large pot of chilli to take with us to Cambridge tomorrow when we help Adam move some of his stuff into his new accommodation. Our car will be packed to the roof with things I am taking from home for him - I have spent ages packing glassware that I don't need - and Amazon deliveries of small things he will need. He has had a delivery from IKEA so tomorrow it is screwdrivers and allen keys at the ready!
