Lizard
We drove down to Lizard and walked a few miles of the coastal path in the most southerly part of Cornwall.
Another area of outstanding beauty and gorgeous weather again.
The derelict lifeboat Station shown here was built in 1914 and closed in 1961.
There was a plaque nearby showing how many lives had been saved from here in that time, it was quite substantial and l wish l had photographed it.
The new lifeboat station is about one and a half miles away and can respond to emergencies more quickly from where it is now sited.
After the walk we had tea and cake then drove to Falmouth and had another good walk down to the beach, then along to the castle on the headland and then back to town past the docks.
My legs are aching but in a good way.
