Tackling the brambles

Up and out early with the dog so I could get to the Linton Gardening Club's Plant Sale at 10.00am.  The place was heaving and there was a queue to get in.   People weren't quite elbowing each other out of the way...not quite..

Having earmarked today for some gardening I quickly grabbed some of the plants that were left so that I had something to put into my planters and hanging basket, and today they look great.  My job is now to try and keep them alive.

Came across this little fella when trying to rid the garden of some 5 metre long brambles behind the pond.  My arms bear the scars of battle but they are gone for the moment.
