The Priory
ruins, courtesy of Henry VIII and his Dissolution of the Monasteries in the mid 1530s. The Church had become too powerful by amassing wealth through the sale of indulgences and benefitting from bequests all with the promise of a trouble-free entry into heaven without the impediments of such trifles as judgement day or consignment to a less agreeable environment.
This is at the village of Castle Acre, Norfolk UK. It's late afternoon with a cloudless blue sky and bright sunshine. I thought that black and white could be effective.
