Afternoon walk

After the welcome but unexpected arrival of the workmen for the patio we nipped down to Dorchester as I was having a haircut . A quick look round the Garden Centre there and then back home to make them coffee.
So late afternoon, we decided to walk around the far side of the lake at Sherborne Castle Gardens . It was heron city with two herons repeatedly flying overhead, landing in trees and even diving into the lake presumably for fish . We were so thrilled to get this shot of one near the path in the tree . There were also several grebe again . Once more the HHA card allowed us to access a lovely place nearby .
