Allanwater river above Dunblane

This is a view of the Allanwater river which few folk ever see for it’s on the back road from Dunblane to Ashfield.
 
 
We had occasion to go along it today to deliver some home baking for tomorrow Open Garden at Hutcheson farm.
 
This was followed by a trip to our local garden centre, which has a special offer on with plants – provided one buys the Scotsman newspaper first.
 
We stocked up on bedding plants because in a fortnight's time it is the turn of Bridge of Allan gardens to open to the pubic.
