Lightbulb Moment
A day for browsing for presents, waiting for inspiration.
The light bulb moment happened half way between Argos and Subway, in the shadow of Valley Parade.
You may wonder why there is a half-buried representation of a light bulb in a Bradford retail park. Even if you weren't wondering, I'll tell you. The work was commissioned under the Per Cent for Art Scheme, with the brief of "making the city safer by shedding light." Sculptor Andy Hazell had the idea of putting a light bulb in a car park. (Information, as always, from the Bradford Sculpture Trail leaflet.)
A year ago, I was five yards away taking a picture of a goat. There is clearly something about December 23rd that draws me to Forster Square retail park.
