A wedding and two funerals

Today was Abi (my niece) and Adams wedding. It was a tastefully done DIY wedding with a humanist celebrant leading proceedings. Abi's mum, dad and sisters had put a lot of hard work into the preparation and it certainly paid off. Abi's brother provided the alcohol as a wedding present.

The last time the family were in the Dacre hall was last December for Grandads funeral, it stirred memories for a lot of people and it was delightful to have the wedding here today.

My feet were sore from dancing, but I've definitely earned my title as 'Mad Aunty Helen' so it was worth it. It was fun to let our hair down.

Sometimes you get runs of different types of celebrations in a family. In the last three years we've had 2 funerals and then todays wedding, we have another family wedding in July.
