Carskey Bay

13C with sunny sunshine all day. Light W/WNW/NNW breeze.

Grocery shopping.

We drove the ten miles or so South to Southend then followed the road round past Dunaverty beach and Kiel to Carskey Bay. They tide was way out and some of the kelp beds were visible just above the surface of the sea. There just a few seals on the rocks at Kiel. There were several Gannets soaring offshore and diving, and we spotted some Terns diving too. There were some ringed plovers, mostly at the back of the beach today.

We walked along to the far end of the beach and back.

We stopped on the way home at another little beach between Kiel and Dunaverty and picked up some sea worn pieces of old brick which we are using to cover a small strip of earth under the fence at the back of our garden plot.

Later Apothecary 7 was weeding in the shared courtyard space downstairs, making the most of being outdoors in the good weather.
