Day 132/19. What big eyes you have.....

Hurrah !! Summer is close when the first damselflies appear. This very young (probably hatched just today) visited our pond today. In truth it probably hatched FROM our pond today, it is very few hours old.
It is a Large Red Damselfly.  This is the first species of damselflies and dragonflies to emerge each year and bring a welcome flash of colour to otherwise sombre waters.
Bring on the marco for the rest of the summer. Expect more.
