Pre Christmas ride.

Here we all are at the top of Southwick Hill. It was quite a hard ride to tea as we had a strong head wind and it was a tad longer than usual. Had to take this pic with the blue sky in the background as it felt like such a novelty to see, especially after yesterdays day of rain. After tea in Oundle we had a lovely tail wind home - although again it was a longer route than expected and we totalled 50 miles in the end.

I have discovered that I am 70 miles away from hitting 1000 miles on my road bike since I got it in April. Now have a challenge to break the 1000 miles before New Year! Sounds really meagre compared with one chap in our club who is aiming for 15000 miles on his bike this year.
