Christmas Preparation

This morning Tracy, Sophie and I were in Waitrose as it opened at 7am - none of this 24 hour shopping here in Guernsey. We bought all our fresh food to get us through Christmas and now the fridge and freezer are groaning under the weight of it all.
Later in the day we collected Gran and Grandad from the airport - they'd circled overhead for 45 minutes due to the fog and then been diverted to Jersey. Once the fog had cleared they did the short hop across.
In the afternoon Sophie helped mum decorate the Christmas cake - lots of concentration.
Then in the evening it was a roaring fire and an evening of Strictly.
