Grey Heron

This Grey Heron watched me approaching for a long time and I'm sure its first option was just to stand there as I passed - I would have let it but it got into a flap and took off :-)

It's Mass Observation day ----   May 12th  -- I'm writing a diary of the day.

Any day with a Pied Flycatcher in it (extra photo) is worth writing about
