The Narrow Gate with Craig Law on the horizon

I often walk past these two fence posts. Why use two when one might do? I suspect that two contractors were employed.

These posts sit above a stone wall, and this is an eye level Blipfoto.

This is a convoluted introduction to my tale.

Yesterday afternoon I had booked an appointment with my ophthalmologist to check out a vague shadow in my field of vision.

After a very thorough battery of tests everything appeared to be fine. She then compared my eye picture with one three months ago and noticed a very very minor change in the optical disc which concerned her.

She contacted Ninewells Hospital and shortly after 6:00 p.m. I was sitting in the waiting room of Ward 25 undergoing another batch of tests following a list of questions from two eye specialists. One also took blood samples and carried out more tests which indicated my left eye is slightly colour blind. The right is fine.

I was then asked to come back today to undergo more tests.
This afternoon my blood results were fine apart from raised cholesterol and my eye structure is fine apart from a very small bleed in my left eye.

It was agreed my GP would issue a prescription and I would be seen in a month.

I was also given a 7/24 emergency number to call should any further change occur.

I called in at my GP and was seen by the Practice Head. He had already checked the blood results on line and gave me my script which was filled by the Pharmacy next door.

I then walked home taking the Blipfoto and also covering 17,000 steps for the day.

Despite NHS cuts I received excellent treatment and met only friendly and courteous people throughout this adventure.
